In the Elektra movie Jenn Gardner is wearing sliver chains … one with 2 pendants on it … just a thought … the real Elektra wouldn’t wear that … it would jingle and people would hear her approach.

Another deadline at Bluedrop. The Project Manager is going to think we do this on purpose … but the Network went down … again. It happened the last time her project was due too … it’s a curse.
The internal network was still working, so we still could get our work done … it’s just that the client couldn’t see it. But then the internal network went down too … and we were fucked.

Just got back from Northern Bay, I had a wonderful time. I went with Kelly and Rhea, I’ve known Kelly from college days, but I haven’t had a chance to get to know Rhea as much, but I’m glad I did. We had a lot of fun together. Kelly is going again this coming weekend … but I don’t know if I can afford to go again. I’m getting that car soon, so I have to be adult about my finances from now on … which sucks … but … when you know what a deductiable is I think you can consider yourself an adult.
😦

I think I’m going to get a car. I know I know … I’m disappointed in me too. I was going to wait for the hybird. But i can’t. i really can’t. and the yaris is so fuel efficent it’s hard to turn it down. But we’ll have to wait until we hear from the credit lady at Toyota.
{nervous emoticon here}
I did a lot of research on what car to get and stuff. But I finally made up my mind on the Yaris. C-net helped me make my desion – of course … I don’t buy anything without consulting cnet.
Anyway, went on a test drive today, felt awesome. Like i was free, or something … like I can do anything I want … go anywhere I want. I liked that feeling. But of course, we work to pay for the things we buy, and if we just didn’t buy so many things we’d all be much happier, not pressured to succeed in the workplace so much, not pressured to be ‘sucessful’ and all the jazz; if only we could to happy and minimal, and content to be ourselves.
I’m such a consumer, just like the rest of them, I don’t like it, but I don’t mind it. I’d love to buy a few arces of land and call it myown little country, no taxes, no obligations, just me and my gardens. But that’s just a dream, a dream that never comes true for any of us.
But I’ll live with my fossil fuel car and digital camera in it’s oversized packaging in my Old Navy (straight form the sweat shop) pants, and I’ll die like all the rest of them. What makes me so special that I have to live above commericalism … nothing … it’s not like I can do anything about it … it’s not like the Oil companies are going to say “Oh shit – manda didn’t by a car! whats wrong – she can afford it – why isn’t she buying a car?”

Why can’t I be one of the masses too?

A Manda Review: Summer Detesting.
Yes, we have to shave our legs, because it’s the thing to do in this society-thing. “When in rome …” So I thought there must be a better way than razors … if only there was a better way.
I tested three methods.
Leg 1: Nair: Cire divine (at home microwave wax)
My intail reaction to this when I saw it on TV was … “Ohhh ….” when I tried it, it went … “auuuggghhhh..” Seriousily … what a waste of money. The messy factor was though the roof. It didn’t stay warm long enough … it was like I was at a circus, they were selling ‘Candy Mandas’. Seriousily … gross.
Leg 2: Neet (Hair Removal Gel-Cream)
Smelly not effective at all … I still have hairs … so this one completely failed.

In conclusion, the next time I want to wax, I’m willing to pay 20 bucks a leg, instead of going through that hell again. Until then, I’m sticking with my razor.
